"The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah" Psalm 21:1, 2
Praise God that He is always working on behalf of His children. Lift up your pastor today, praying that he will have joy in the strength of his God and shall greatly rejoice in His salvation. Bless him and Bethany, Lord, their children too, with the desires of their hearts. Thank You that You will not withhold the requests of their lips. We trust Your word that says You are abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon You.

This year has been devastating for Christians living in Nigeria. They are daily being tortured and murdered. Please join believers around the world in praying for these suffering members of our family. Pray that God will thwart the efforts of those who are being used of instruments of Satan. Pray He will weaken them and scramble their communications with each other. Ask that our Almighty God will intervene and provide miracles of protection for them.

Wednesday, July 29
As we pray for our children, grandchildren, etc., today let's pray from 1 Thessalonians 5:11 for them: that they will encourage and build others up, that they will respect those who have authority over them, that they will be people who help the weak and encourage the fainthearted and are patient with all, always seeking to do good to others. Pray that they will be people of constant prayer with thanksgiving in all circumstances.

Pray for 5 year old Othniel in Peru who was born with a severe heart condition. Ask God to heal him and bless his family with strength and faith. Pray for all you know today who are suffering with afflictions of various kinds.

Saturday, August 1
Let's pray from Romans 12:9-12 for our little church: that we would love one another sincerely, hate what is evil but cling to what is good, be devoted to each other in brotherly love, honoring one another above ourselves. Pray we would be zealous and fervent in our service to God. Pray we would be joyfully hopeful people, patient in affliction, always faithful in prayer.
