WELCOME TO AWANA CLUBS!
See below for new check in & pick up procedures & other changes.
Awana clubs start the 1st Tuesday in September at 6:30pm
Awana is a world-wide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for all children. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.
For more information about Awana Ministries go to www.awana.org.
Who is Discipling your child? If not you, is it their peers? Social media? Networks like Disney, Netflix, and Amazon? Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” The Bible tells us it is our responsibility as parents to disciple our kids. We are thrilled to come along side you, to partner with you, in raising up our children in the true Word of God, building faith in Jesus, and strong Christian friendships.
How Can You be Sure Your Child is Growing in Their Faith? Proverbs 22:6 tell us, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Help your child memorize their handbook verses and work on sections (if applicable) during the week. Ask them what they learned, what does the verse mean, what do they know about Jesus. See if they have other questions about faith. Ask your leader if you need help finding answers. Pray for your child and for your club leaders. Bring them faithfully to club nights and join us on Parent Nights and the closing of each evening to cheer them on as they earn awards. Be involved and invested in discipling your child.
We are EXCITED to partner with you in training up your child to walk with Jesus!

****************************new IMPORTANT UPDATEs******************************
*Trek club now meets at 6:30pm along with all other clubs.
*CHECK IN is from 6:15pm-6:30pm: Parents must supervise their own child until checked in. Check in begins no earlier than 6:15pm. You are welcome to come earlier to allow time to play outside on the playground beforehand with parental supervision. Our leaders pray together to prepare our hearts and minds for discipling from 6 to 6:15pm and are not responsible for children until they are checked in for the evening.
*PICK UP is now at 7:45pm. Please come into the Sanctuary to view awards at the end of each evening and then collect your child. We begin Large Group Time a bit earlier, so please come in quietly and have a seat. It means so much to your children for you to be part of their faith journey with them, to be present and celebrate their achievements with them. Children will no longer be released to the lobby or outside. They will sit in the sanctuary until their parent/guardian comes into the room to collect them.
*What do we do during Awana? We are partnering with you to grow the faith of your children, so we want to get to know you and for you to learn what goes on during Awana clubs so you can better be part of your child’s spiritual learning and growth.
We have added PARENT NIGHTS to our calendar. Please plan to stay for the entire evening on Oct 7th when kids will be learning how God wonderfully made them. And again Jan 13th for Pastor & Cookies Night. Bring any and all questions to ask Pastor Sam and some cookies to share (optional). We may have another Parent night in the spring, TBD. And, as always, bring the whole family & your friends to our end of the year Award Night on May 19th.
*Cowboy Night has been combined with our Great Outdoor theme night on Dec 2nd, Operation Christmas Child Night has moved to Nov 4th and Twin Night to 11/18.
The calendar listed & printable calendars, linked below, have all been updated.
*DONATIONS WELCOME for Awana GIANT STORE Nights. New & like new toys, games, craft kits or other things kids love are welcome. Please check with the Awana Director before donating to make sure the item is approved for drop off and we have room. Help us build up our store with great prizes to encourage and reward your kids for their hard work in their handbooks.
*Our T&T clubs and Trek Girls club will be using the ‘Essentials’ books from now on. These include all the same memory verses, but less or no homework except to work on the memory verses. If you prefer to have your child complete a regular Awana book, please request this at registration or to your club leader at the start of the year.
*College scholarships and official Awana awards, such as Book Completion trophies, are only eligible for completion of the full, regular books from T&T though Journey. We will have other awards for completing Essentials books at the end of the year.
